Buffet stands and tableware design for The Met Hotel
The Met Hotel is one of the most recent additions to Thessaloniki’s vibrant hospitality scene. Described as “a unique blend of modern sophistication and sublime elegance”, the hotel stands out with its ultra modern avant-garde decor and unique take on contemporary luxury. Under the slogan “gourmet delights in elegant settings”, the hotel enriched city’s fine dining and entertainment scene with 2 restaurants and 3 stylish bars and lounges.
Glass Studio worked with hotel’s team on tableware designs that accentuate the style of the hotel’s restaurants and room amenities. In this post we share with you our glass tableware for “Avenue 48 Restaurant”.
Tableware designs for Avenue 48 Restaurant
Avenue 48 is a contemporary all day dining venue, with breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner services. The restaurant has a minimalist decor, with simple lines and geometric shapes in neutral muted color palette and occasional decorative accents such as futuristic lamps and modern mural art.
Glass Studio’s designers worked on a number of tableware pieces for the restaurant, from buffet stands and elevations to glass dining plates in various shapes and colors.
For the buffet service, the restaurant chose to incorporate our buffet metal stands with three glass bowls in milky white color – a combination that matches the understated decor of the restaurant’s buffet section and gives a nice contrast.
The plate designs for the lunch and dinner service included classic square glass plates, as well as a bit more extravagant round plates with square inlets, colored in soft caramel or dark brown colors with the “Japanese tree” pattern.
The combination of frosty clear glass plates as well as bold designs allowed exquisite food presentation, accentuating the fine dining atmosphere of the venue, while leaving the room for chef’s creativity in the presentation of the dishes.
