In the past Glass Studio collaborated with hotel’s team for enriching dining experience at the hotel’s famous “The Exchange Grill” and “Cin Cin” wine bar. In this post, we present to you our latest designs for the “Spectrum On One” restaurant.

“Spectrum On One” is a true international restaurant. And by international it means the restaurant offers eight interactive open kitchens, each representing a distinct cuisine. From Japanese sushi and Szechuan Chinese dishes, Indian Tandoori delights, flavors of Thailand and Middle East to classic European grills and pastries, the visitors will hardly find something missing from an impressive culinary offer. In addition, “Spectrum On One” was the pioneer of Friday Brunch outings in Dubai, for which the restaurant won a number of prestigious awards over the years.
Restaurant provides several authentic settings to accompany the diversity of cuisines, encouraging social gatherings in smaller groups, sharing and experimentation with flavors. Glass Studio collaborated with Executive Chef Patrick Duff in designing restaurant dinnerware to accompany the decor and mood of the venue. Dinnerware designs for “Spectrum On One” included glass dining plate sets and bread and butter plates for the main dining section, as well glass dessert plates for the patisserie.
The design of show plates was conceptualized in warm orange color that matches the decor and soft glimmer from the papery lightshades. Show plates were designed in irregular soft shape and featured pattern from our signature Pearls Collection. Bread and butter plates were designed in a matching orange color but without the pattern, so as to preserve simplicity of the tabletop setting.
Dessert plates for the patisserie were quite simple in design: elegant square shape matched with simple “squares” pattern in milky white color. This allowed dessert dishes to truly stand out in presentation, accentuating their shape and texture against the plates’ pattern.
