Glass Studio for Le Gray, Beirut
Le Gray hotel opened in 2009 in the heart of Beirut and quickly established itself as one of the most stylish spots in town, thanks to its sleek and modern interior and trendy crowd. Beirut’s first designer hotel is located in a building designed by architect Kevin Dash with a circular atrium and features a collection of 540 contemporary art pieces from around the world that give edginess and freshness to the space. Decorated in a palette of whites and grey, the interior is full of light and creates inviting atmosphere for hotel’s guests and visitors.
Le Gray offers three restaurants, two bars (all located on the rooftop around the atrium) and a cafe. From fine dining at Indigo on the Roof to trendy Cherry on Top lounge, Le Gray offers a good mix of entertainment for Beirut’s visitors.
Glass Studio collaborated with hotel’s team in creating dinnerware pieces that match hotel’s interior and highlight its contemporary style.
Amenity plates for Guest Rooms at Le Gray, Beirut
Le Gray hotel features 87 rooms and suites, characterized by abundance of space and modern décor. The rooms are designed in 3 main color schemes: mauve, blue and green, and all feature dark wooden furniture. To accompany sleek and elegant style of the rooms, Glass Studio created rectangular fruit amenity plates that are both functional and accentuate color schemes of the rooms. Plates serve as fruit trays and welcome amenities for hotel guest rooms.
Glass dinnerware for Pool Lounge, Le Gray-Beirut
Located on the rooftop of the hotel and overlooking infinity pool and Beirut’s scenery, Pool Lounge offers small getaway from city’s fast-pace urban lifestyle. The venue offers breakfast service, casual lunch, and private dining to Le Gray’s guests and visitors. The style of the venue is contemporary minimalism, with sleek and soft lines and basic color schemes of whites, red and silver. Glass Studio created dinnerware that accompanies the minimalist decor of the Lounge and is highly functional at the same time.
Restaurant dinnerware features pieces such as small glass bowls for condiments (such as jams and jellies) for breakfast dining and small rectangular glass trays as condiment trays.
Tabletop accessories for Gordon’s Cafe, Le Gray-Beirut
Gordon’s Café is an all-day dining venue, offering coffee and favorites from the international cuisine with variety of salads, burgers, pizza and pastries. The interior of Gordon’s Café is elegant with a contemporary twist, with white, mustard and green complementing the wooden furniture, and creating cozy yet modern space for casual lunch or dinner dates.
Glass Studio created dinnerware items that reflect casual and contemporary approach to dinnerware design and functionality in all-day-dining use. The designs for Gordon’s Café include tabletop accessories such as glass sugar holders with white pattern.
Simple, yet elegant design of glass dinnerware follows hotel’s goal of introducing “contemporary twist to traditional details”, and the choice of glass as accompanying material reflects philosophy of “excellent materials in perfect proportions” for hotel’s design.
