The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa opened in November 2011 in a revamped Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and is the first Westin property in the city. Room amenities for Westin Abu Dhabi
Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa was designed to focus on natural surroundings and outdoors recreation. The wellness theme was incorporated in all aspects of guest experience: from room décor and healthy dining options to wide spectrum of recreational activities. Following the idea of creating a wellness oasis, the hotel was designed as a warm space for relaxation.
Guest rooms were designed to create perfect quite retreat. Décor is based on natural earthy colours with outbursts of vivid blue, orange and red that refresh and invigorate. Rooms feature simple and elegant furnishings and amenities under signature Westin Difference program.
Glass Studio was responsible for creating amenity items that accentuate Westin’s unique take on hospitality. Glass Studio’s designers created a range of hotel dinnerware for full amenity program.
Designs included amenity fruit plates, amenity boxes and a variety of platters and bowls for special on-demand food amenities.
One of the most notable creations for room amenities is the design of amenity boxes.
Boxes are used for serving refreshments such as fresh fruits, snacks and dry fruits, as well as the items from Westin’s signature superfood selection.
Rectangular glass boxes with lids feature crackled pattern in beige colour against clear glass surface. The patter embodies designer’s vision of the dry earth of the dessert, evoking the associations with Abu Dhabi’s landscape and climate.
The beige colour carries the concept further and matches the overall décor of the rooms.
The same pattern in white colour was used for amenity fruit plates as well, which are used as welcome amenities on guest arrival.
Designs for amenity program also include gold glass amenity plates for dessert presentation, as well as a range of smaller serving platters with glass bowls for serving superfood items.
Every piece of hotel dinnerware was created with careful consideration for functionality as well as aesthetically pleasing effects. As a result, this elaborate approach to the design of room amenities helps create pleasant surprise for the guests. The luxurious feel of dinnerware evokes the “wow” effect Glass Studio dinnerware is known for and helps create memorable experiences for the guests of the hotel.
